The Erbil Inside photos tell about three interrelated stories currently happening in the city's oldest quarters and they show:
1- about the palatial and aesthetic architect art common in Tajeel, Khanaqa and Areb quarters; some of them have been built more than a century ago.
2- about the destruction threats chasing those beautiful houses because of some reasons like:
- government prohibits residents from renovation license, but, houses are continuously destroyed for opening car parkings in place.
- garbage and wall remains accumulates leaving hills reaching to the ceiling level in some spots.
- poor services--particularly shortage of drinking water--force residents to evacuate. Uninhibited houses are more vulnerable for ruining.
3- about the people who still in those houses expose to the dangers of ruining walls and existence of snakes, scorpions and rats.
